How did the ‘Nation-State’ survive the social evolution till date? Why did not a ‘religious-state’, ‘ethnic-state’ or ‘laissez-faire market-state’ or any other form of State? How intentional and deliberate was the process of installation of the concept of Nation-State? Social philosophers and political theorists have taken turns on this question and presented innumerable logic of political battles, suppressions, oppressions, race for resources and have come up with great theories of war and peace with identifiable heroes and villains.
The issue is as brief as this: ‘Who’ is more inherently corrupted? The law which allows a prisoner (need not be a criminal) also to compete in election or the people who vote to elect a criminal (need not be charge sheeted) as their leader. The relative study of the world death penalty assumes that the least populous countries stay away from the act or the most populous countries like China, Korea, US and India voted against the moratorium appealed by the UN. Later in June, the New Delhi Government, the Gujarat FDA, Assam and some of India’s biggest retailers like Future Group which includes Big Bazaar, Easy day and Nilgiris have also imposed ban on Maggi. Thereafter multiple state authorities in India found an unacceptable amount of lead and it has been banned in more than 5 other states including Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. And the very next day, the central government of India outlaw nationwide sale of Maggi noodles for an indefinite period. Why? Is it an end? The crooked eyes of the commercial world can effortlessly awaken the taste buds of common man by mixing these kinds of artificial contents and chemicals. ‘Where to keep the boundary’ and ‘who will bell the cat’ is the major concern in the market now.
